Business School of Jiangxi Normal University was established in 1995. Upholding the school motto "Innovative, pragmatic and transcendent", the faculty and staff of the school advocate realistic spirit, standardize management and promote innovation, which has brought about fast progress in many ways.

The school has management disciplines and applied economics. At present, there are one first-level conferrable right of Master of business administration and 4 second-level conferrable right, including enterprises management, technological economics and management, marketing, and human resource management. The school is also authorized to grant MBA.  

We offer 5 undergraduates programs, including business administration (direction of entrepreneur management included), human resource management, marketing, e-commerce, international trade and economics. Cooperating with the school of international studies we offer two more undergraduates programs: international business administration and international marketing with the model of "the English language + profession".  Excellent courses span principles of management, project management, enterprise strategy management, marketing, consumer behavior, statistics, financial management, international trade theory and practice, among which principles of management, human resource management and methodology of management research are high-quality courses at provincial level.

Our school ranks leading position in size among the schools of the university. Currently there are 2,000 undergraduates and graduates and 400 continuing education students in school. Sticking to our top priority of qualified personnel, we are committed to the training of creative talents of economy and management for society who mastered related solid foundation knowledge, outstanding ability to work, comprehensive accomplishment and bold noble minds. In recent years, under the guidance of teachers, our students have successively won awards in the "Challenge Cup" competition New Venture Plans, National and province-wide Science and Technology academic work competition, National universities and colleges "creative, innovative, entrepreneurship" e-commerce challenge, national university students mathematics modeling contest. Our student societies hold various popular activities and team up with well-known enterprises like Lenovo Group, China Unicom, Tencent. The employment rate of our graduates is over 95%, making our school well-received.

The school has a strong strength of faculty group. The existing staff 55 people, including 12 professors, 18 associate professors, of whom 17 are doctors, 29 masters and 19 master supervisors and of whom 4 academic leaders, 2 backbone teachers at provincial level and 1 "top 10 teachers" and 1 "teaching master" at university level. Besides, 40 domestic and foreign well-known scholars and entrepreneurs are invited to be academic and practice-based visiting professors at the school.  

Our school has a sound internal organization and provides good foundation and conditions. It is composed of 5 departments, including Business Administration, International Economics and Trade, e-commerce, marketing, and human resource management. We also set up one entrepreneurship education center and one MBA education center, 2 teaching and experiment centers and one library. A beautiful campus environment and fully equipped teaching facilities provide the school with essential condition of modern teaching.  

The school is the research center of economy and management in Jiangxi. The school has one key research base of innovative and entrepreneurship, key research center for Humanities and Social Science in Jiangxi province. As a Consumer Committee of Jiangxi Computer Association, it takes the lead in a pilot innovative experiment area, a national first e-commerce professional colleges and universities.

The school plays an active role in "Industry-University-Institute" activities and offers social services. We established an economic management training center, serving enterprise executives to provide training and advisory services.  

We have been also dedicated to higher education internationalization. The school and school of management of Taiwan Chung Cheng University has already signed co-operation agreements, with 10 undergraduates selected to study at each other's school as exchange student every semester. The school has set up the cooperative training projects with Dresden international university in Germany, which seniors may enter and study for master's degree at a famous German university.

This specialty, a theoretical system formed by carrying the results of research of economics, management, psychology and sociology and other disciplines into the market economy and business activities, is a discipline that combines theory closely with practice. The curriculums include professional courses such as economics, management, higher mathematics and so on, which aim to lay a foundation of the discipline; the professional theory courses such as marketing, market research and consumer behavior targeting cultivation of thinking ability; the marketing channels, brand management, network marketing, marketing simulation practice and selling and other professional application courses with objective of the development of individuals' ability; and corporate culture, psychology and other optional courses which can improve the knowledge structure.  

In the undergraduate teaching and personnel quality training, the specialty is committed to the cultivation of students' marketing dynamic thinking ability with "logical, scientific and dynamic", and trains them to master the economy, management knowledge system, as well as marketing disciplines theoretical knowledge and practical ability, with stronger marketing theory application ability. A complete contingent of qualified teachers and outstanding scientific research ability and their practical experience provide a guarantee for the training of high-quality marketing personnel. Graduates are highly praised by various types of industrial and commercial enterprises. Employment rate remains at 98% or more, ranking highest of the university.

The specialty, with modern business literacy and entrepreneurship education as the cornerstone, fosters compound and specialized talents who have good knowledge of economics, management, operation, and good cultural literacy and can engage in human resources management in enterprises and government departments, and scientific research and education institutions.

The specialty is a key specialty financed by the university, and students are encouraged to acquire various professional qualification certifications at home and abroad. Flexible curriculum system has been built; case teaching is highlighted, experiential teaching method, situational teaching, project type teaching, open teaching and so on are attempted to use. All qualified teachers hold doctor's degrees and more than 90% of teachers have enterprise consulting experience of human resources management. Graduates are professionals with structured knowledge, excellent professional ability and professional spirit and urgently needed by enterprises and institutions.

The professional training system can master the basic principles and skills of economics, international trade and international finance, familiar with China's foreign trade policies and regulations and international trade rules and practices, to understand the major countries and regions of the economic and trade development of the application of advanced specialized personnel. The specialty is characterized by stronger adaptability and more employment opportunities.  Graduates in this field are not only qualified for work in import and export enterprises, financial institutions, business or management, but also for management, planning, research and analysis in national economic and trade departments, research institutes and so forth.    

 

 

 

The specialty demands comparatively high quality of the students. First, it requires students to master English, good skills of English listening, speaking, reading and writing involved; Secondly, it requires students to master basic knowledge and methods of economics, international trade theory and practice, international financial theory and practice, international settlement, statistics, econometrics, international business correspondence, financial management; again, it requires students to have hard-working character and strong ability of business negotiation, market development and planning, and transnational communication and coordination.

The specialty is a provincial-level brand profession. Flexible curriculum system: a combination of professional comprehensive compulsory courses, compulsory courses and selective courses enables to better cultivate high-quality professionals; with a complete contingent of qualified teachers, the teaching is characterized by strengthened case teaching, experiential teaching, situational teaching, project type teaching, and open teaching and so on. Through various means, students participate in teaching reform and management, which makes them to have extensive connections to theoretical research and practical sectors.

Entrepreneurship management, as a direction of business administration, also aims at meeting the social needs of entrepreneurship management professionals. The direction enrolls students who have a strong entrepreneurial willingness and a business background; a small-class teaching way, through simulation of the entrepreneurial management courses and entrepreneurial, entrepreneurial practice and other specialized training, contributes to cultivation of specialized personnel with a good entrepreneurial quality and a command of entrepreneurial theory and skills. Graduates of this direction can become internship entrepreneurs, business consultants, managers of venture capital, entrepreneurial enterprise, science and technology zones, industrial zones, small and medium-sized enterprise management, and entrepreneurial teachers of all kinds of schools.

The specialty fosters inter-disciplinary, specialized and applied talents, who master basic theories and practical skills of modern economic science, management science, computer science, network communications and information processing technology, and comprehensive skills e-commerce. They can engage in business, trade, Marketing management, e-commerce, e-government and e-commerce system planning, analysis, design, development, management in industrial and commercial enterprises, financial institutions, public institutions and government agencies.

At undergraduate level the specialty is divided into 3 directions, including e-commerce, information technology business, logistics management; at postgraduate level it is divided into 3 directions, comprising e-commerce and information technology entrepreneurship, e-commerce and logistics engineering. The training model of Information entrepreneurship talents is a domestic initiative.

The specialty adopts the approach of promoting employment coming first  and innovative training model of talents, carrying out multi-level information technology entrepreneurship education, encouraging students to participate in various business competition activities and paying attention to cultivate students' social adaptability and innovation and entrepreneurship, with curriculum featured by "Technology + business + ability. At the same time, the solid e-commerce research achievements greatly feed into e-commerce teaching. "E-commerce and information technology entrepreneurship excellent engineer training model", a research of 2012 Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Project, is the nation's leading study, the implementation of which will further improve and optimize the quality of professional training. As one of the hot specialties, the employment rate ranks highest of the university, and the previous graduates are praised by various types of employers.
